Dan Daack

Dan Daack

Dan Daack is a 1964 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School.

Dan was a 2-sport athlete at Dubuque Senior HS as well as singing in the Choirs. Dan played football and wrestling for the Rams for 3-seasons each. His senior year, he was named Captain of the Wrestling team.

Brian Ferry

Brian Ferry

Brian Ferry is a 1990 graduate of Dubuque Senior HS.

Brian was a 3-sport athlete for the Rams, earning major letters in Football, Basketball, and Track & Field. Brian was also a member of the National Honor Society in 1989 and 1990. Brian was an exceptional Pole Vaulter for the Rams and has the distinction of being the FINAL, Class 4A Pole Vault Champion in 1989; the IHSAA eliminated the event following the 1989 season.

Dawn Griesinger Swift

Dawn Griesinger Swift

Dawn Griesinger Swift is a 1975 graduate of Dubuque Senior HS.

Dawn was a 3-sport athlete for the Rams during time when women’s sports were taking off thanks to Title IX legislation across the country.
Dawn competed in Volleyball, Golf and Softball during her high school career. Dawn was on the State Championship VB team of 1973 and Runner-Up team of 1974. Dawn was a 2nd team All-State player in Softball and was on the 1974 State Championship team that year. Dawn was also an outstanding student and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Patrick Hageman

Patrick Hageman

Patrick Hageman is a 1994 graduate of Dubuque Senior HS.

Patrick was a 2-sport standout for Dubuque Senior High School, competing in Football and Men’s Track & Field teams for the Rams.
Patrick was a 2-time Major D winner in the sport of football, including 2nd team All-Conference defensive back in the MVC conference his senior season. Patrick excelled on the Track & Field team for the Rams. Patrick was a 3-time state qualifier during high school and 2-time Drake Relays qualifier.

Joe Oleson

Joe Oleson

Joe Oleson is a 1994 graduate of Dubuque Senior HS.

Joe Oleson competed in Football and Soccer for the Dubuque Senior Rams. Joe was a 4-year Varsity competitor on both teams, earning 7 Major D’s in those activities.

Joe was an excellent kicker on the gridiron and was named an All-State kicker in 1994 and was selected to the 1994 Shrine Bowl. He was ranked nationally in both placekicking and punting, having kicked a 67-yard punt and 40-yard field goal; both school records at the time.

John Walsh

John Walsh

John Walsh is a 1936 graduate of Dubuque Senior HS.

John Walsh was very involved as a Ram at Dubuque Senior High School. At a time, when the high school only had 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students, John participated in Football for 3 years, Basketball for 3 years, and Track & Field for 3 years.

John was a CO-captain of the Football team in 1935, under the direction of Hall of Fame Coach Wilbur Dalzell. John earned 2 major D’s in Football, 2 major D’s in Basketball, and 1 major D in Track & Field.

Jim West

Jim West

Jim West is a 1969 graduate of Dubuque Senior HS.

Jim was a standout Basketball player for the Rams, under the tutelage of Coach Walt Kirk. Jim was a member of the 1968 MVC Championship team; the first conference title for the Rams in that sport. Jim earned 1st team All-State honors as a senior.

Jon West

Jon West

Jon West is a 1969 graduate of Dubuque Senior HS.

Jon was a member of the Rams Basketball and earned 3 Varsity letters. A member of the 1967-68 MVC Championship team, Jon also received all-MVC honors and honorable mention All-state. Jon was a member of the National Honor Society as well.
